New Evo X Owner!
Translation: Having the ability to find standard information and not get taken.
I'm not mad. Not in the slightest. So, let's be clear on this. after a phone call to day to clear up the numbers, MY DEEP DISCOUNT goes like this:
1) Seats: $4,000 each x 2 = $8,000.
2)) Tax at 9.5% = $760 (which I will ask my CPA to see if I can have them eliminate based on my company)
3) 4 hours of labor estimated = $1200 give or take.
TOTAL = $9,960.00 (maybe $9,000 even tax dependent)
Any one else want to chime in with any more pearls of ****ing wisdom? I dare any one to do better via a dealership for new leather seats. Really.. I want you to. See how far you get.

Oh my you got taken, again. MSRP for both those parts are:
6901B356XA - $3,148.34
6911A893XA - $2,189.50
With various online parts dealers showing them for hundreds off of MSRP.
It seems like you are easily swayed by the air of mystique and lack the ability to ingest proper information.

4 hours to assemble these and install them is pretty high... especially at $300/hr. These are not complicated seats.
DON'T remind me. I remember saying that. I never thought I'd see the day when I went back on a quote. It's irritating. Really.. irritating. But..Jaraxie.. please note. Seats, Aero Kit. Not engine. Although I did talk to the Mitsubishi Rep. I can add:
1) Sport Air Filter (Ralliart)
2) Sport Exhaust Muffler (Ralliart)
3) HKS Intercooler Piping
And that is it. Nothing more and still keep the warranty intact. Ralliart as it is a division of Mitsubish,i so keeping it OEM except for the HKS piping. Just those three things ($1,500) will give another 21 BHP according to the techs at the Mitsubishi service center. That will bring it up from 291 to 312. You get all that by just making the engine breath better.

I know that, I was mirroring his quote sheet that he posted to show the dealer is clearly taking advantage of him. A simple google search would even tell him that.
I mean, it's interesting that when somebody is posting clear information to try and help somebody out, the other person gets mad and insults the person. Hmmm.
Wish him good luck.

You put any thing up on here and it turn's into kindergarten. I'll post pictures when the car is completed.
Oh, and as for the seats not being complicated? Brackets have to be switched out/ installed, sensor's recalibrated and seat buckles replaced to match the sensors in the Recaro's, seats assembled prior to installation... all pretty easy really. Should only take most of you.. oh 10 minutes to do all that right? Including taking the old seats out? Hell... I bet my daughter could do it.
And yes, I will post a sound clip on the Ralliart Exhaust after it's installed.

I implore you to do your research on my contributions to this forum before making statements like that. I would also implore you to not pay $300/hr for labor. That is highway robbery. If you have free time after that, look into the proper use of apostrophes.
Good luck with everything.

Good luck with everything.
We all have the same car, we know it's 'aight. Stock it's slow. Takes a corner well. Mod and it gets faster, still relatively slow unless you REALLY mod it.

Honestly it really is fairly straight forward. I had to disassemble my driver side seat to take out the seat positioning sensor to put in the set of Recaros I purchased. Going along with that, had to remove the plastic trim pieces to route it correctly. Then I had to swap the seatbelt buckles (really you only need to swap the driver side, but they are about 3/4" difference in length so might as well swap both). If you want to save $800, drive down to Portland and pay me $400 and I'll do it for you in a couple of hours tops. I have all of the tools and have done it before.
