Congrats on the Evo... but you could buy a second one with the money spent on parts and labor... that is mucho dinero.

Oh, and as for the seats not being complicated? Brackets have to be switched out/ installed, sensor's recalibrated and seat buckles replaced to match the sensors in the Recaro's, seats assembled prior to installation... all pretty easy really. Should only take most of you.. oh 10 minutes to do all that right? Including taking the old seats out? Hell... I bet my daughter could do it.

And yes, I will post a sound clip on the Ralliart Exhaust after it's installed.
You are bitter for an older person on this forum. I am surprised. As far as the seat swap goes, you clearly haven't been on this forum much. Tons of guys here have done it solo and helped educate others on how to do it. Could I do it? Probably not. But if I asked for help here I bet half a dozen well informed people would offer their services both online and in person if I asked. Grow up little buddy.

Looks like it. I don't get why trying to brag online to a bunch of people with the same car, many with more money into their cars, is doing that though. I guess this car is his biggest and best.

Honestly it really is fairly straight forward. I had to disassemble my driver side seat to take out the seat positioning sensor to put in the set of Recaros I purchased. Going along with that, had to remove the plastic trim pieces to route it correctly. Then I had to swap the seatbelt buckles (really you only need to swap the driver side, but they are about 3/4" difference in length so might as well swap both). If you want to save $800, drive down to Portland and pay me $400 and I'll do it for you in a couple of hours tops. I have all of the tools and have done it before.
Ha! Nice offer. Bet it turns into him being salty some more. Or he sees your tag, and decides to play it nice.

Well Mr. Crunch, I see you don't have much to do with your time. Bitter no. All I was doing is sharing. And what do I get for it? Flak. Lot's of it. I run a business, raising my child, and don't have time to work on this car myself. I drop it off, they do the work, then I pick it up. It's all very easy. This has nothing to do with me being Bitter, Salty or any other words you choose to describe this little exchange. Now, if you can't play nice in the sand box with others, then refrain from the failed wit or humor that glibly masquerades as healthy input. I didn't ask for your advice, I didn't ask for your opinion. The car is new old stock, still smells like a new car, has under 6,000 miles on it and I will have the new seats installed by Mitsubishi techs and not me. My time is more valuable than spending it on a car. Now, crawl back into your cave and stay there. When I want your opinion, I'll give it to you.

When you posted on a public forum, you set yourself up for opinions. Also, you actually did ask for advice and opinions many times in this thread. What happened is you really already had your mind made up and when experienced people gave you advice and opinions, you didn't care or you went into tantrum mode. It happens a lot from newbies to this forum. Most don't like hearing differing opinions to their own.

I hope life gets better for you buddy. Life is a great thing. Try not being so bitter or salty, it will be better for you and the ones around you.

Alan. So's my name. I don't stop in here as much as I used to. I'm glad you found "the" car.
I have a 2012 GSR. It's not built as much as many other guys cars. But it has enough.
2.0 Buschur Sleeved, nice cams, stock turbo, 3" COBB TBE, stout clutch. A couple of gauges. MR wheels and floaters, Bilsteins.
Razor helped me get out of the doldrums of ****ty tuners, the whole reason for the new sleeved block.
And it runs awesome. When I can run it. I lived in Florida up until 5 years ago. Now I live in North PA. A flake of snow, in the garage for the winter.
Hands down 100% if I still had my 06 MR, this car wouldn't even exist in my possession. And if someone stepped right up with an MR to trade....they could have my GSR.
It was the most fun, fastest, quickest, best handling car I ever had. I set a budget of around $7k and put it under the hood and slapped a Kenwood in the dash. Drove it 90k miles on the stock clutch.
Over all of the cars I've owned...69 Charger R/T SE 440 +6, 70 Road Runner 440 +6 4 speed 4.10 Dana.....and the 70 AAR 'cuda.
The MR was "It".
But, douchenozzle thieves ripped it off, stripped it, and it was deemed totaled and issued a certificate of destruction.
I'm how old? 59 as of March.
I guess now it's Nissanbishi....not exactly a bad thing. Because those frikkin' GSR's are badass.

Dude, you write the longest posts. Your time can't be that valuable.

Most everything I've seen you post you are either talking about wasting money... or you are bragging about your stock Evo like it's some sort of mythical 2fast2furious machine, as if we all haven't experienced a stock Evo before. If you want to be taken seriously here you need to dial it back from 11. I appreciate the enthusiasm but a lot of what you say really comes across as trolling.

You were the same guy posting a lengthy thread about how you think all cops (and other haters) are out to get you because they are jealous of your car.

For the last time. This has nothing to do with bitter or salty. I lived in the UK for 25 years. Here is some education for you. Watch this link then you will understand where I come from and why I have an elevated sarcastic wit. Unfortunately American's just take them selves too seriously. It's not your fault. It's a cultural thing...

Alan. My name sake. Apparently I'm trolling. (what ever the hell that is supposed to mean. Oh, and I'm mean spirited hater and I write too much)

Firstly, I am sorry your MR got heisted. For what it's worth, my Golf GTI 16V I got new back in 1992 wound up getting stolen and never seen again. I had that car 9 years. What I was really pissed about was the beautiful brown leather jacket I had in the back seat. That got me more irritated than losing the car.
So, why not look for another MR out there some where? There must be some availability for a low mileage one, no? Or a much better idea! Buy an FQ400 from the UK and import it. You would have a manual car (the Police tell me are not that desired by thieves as most all the kids these days cant drive a stick shift (how utterly sad that is) and a bonus.. you would have a right hand drive car. Then you can guarantee no one will steal it because the thought of having right hand drive car over here would be incomprehensible for most. Just an idea from an Anglophile.
