Question about Brakes

So recently on my 2015 Evo MR I lost vacuum to my breaks, breaks became very tight, following a weird idle? Car would bounce between 500-900 rpms, I also kicked a check engine light po171 system to lean bank 1. I'm guess my brake booster master cylinder needs replacing? Or could it be something else? Basic bolt one hicp cai tail bov and a tune done on tephra software.

Definitely a vacuum leak, but I wouldn't go right to worst case. Check all your vacuum lines, especially the big fat one that goes to the booster. Let us know what you find!

So after examine all my lines I never found the leak, so I took the booster off and lone behold someone drilled a hole in the back of the booster, makes me wonder as it was at the tuners when the brakes went out.

Any chance you had them install a Wideband or replace the clutch master cylinder?

He did my Magnus cmc on my GSR but this car here was my MR, I payed him to install the wideband but he never got around to it, he installed the boost gauge, he told me that the hole looks like someone previously installed a boost gauge to the booster, yet the hole looked fresh with no rust and would have been leaking before I got there, but the vaccine leak started at his shop.

Yeah it definitely seems like they did it. Sucks because it'll be hard to prove, but at the same time thats quite the coincidence.

Yeah I just won't use him again, you'd think after two cars and 6k he'd be good to us.

Man that blows, at least you can get the booster for pretty cheap on eBay.
