What's wrong with my car?

Hey guys,

I was merging from an on-ramp today and I went WOT in 3rd gear when all of a sudden it felt like the car had a hiccup and it bucked. I tried going full throttle again in 3rd gear and everything was normal. I tried a third time and it happened again. From a stop I did a 1-3 pull and it was alright. There is no CEL and I'm confused as to what it could be.

Any help would be appreciated! Below are the specs for my car.

2010 GSR 115,000 miles
hks catback
stock clutch replaced at 105,000 miles with oem stock stock clutch

Check the sprkplug gaps and or make sure all your hoses are tight too

As previously mentioned, you could check/replace the spark plugs and test for boost leaks. You've got a really high post count so I'd imagine you've been here awhile and are familiar with common problems such as the FPR hose popping off and the Fuel Pump relay. If you are sure there's no issues with anything of the sort, then it could b be something simple like hitting Boost cut due to overboosting in cold weather. I'd recommend doing datalogs for review and end it right after the bucking occurs. Take note of the speed it happens in order to better pinpoint the problem area.

Check the fuel pump relay, that is what my car was doing and it ended up being that. I even had the updated ones from SSP installed, however they where about 4 or 5 years old at that point.

Yep definitely check the fuel pump relay. Not saying that's the end-all problem for these cars, but it could be it.

Sounds like plugs. When did you last change them?

Agreed, could be misfire. Pulling plugs to check is fairly easy.

Here is what mine did when it misfired. Got progressively worse. Drove fine normally but anything beyond part throttle would cut out. Turns out plug #4 was destroyed, perhaps from detonation/bad gas. Probably good to replace plugs regularly too.
