Tail Pipe Silencers

Hi Everyone,

I just got myself a used Evo X GSR and my neighbors are a little bit mad everytime I take the car out at night.

The exhaust already has a Vibrant mini muffler / test pipe and a resonator. But still the noise is not tolerable when taking the car out at midnight (I usually sleep late and driving helps get me to sleep).

So I am thinking would exhaust slip on silencers have any bad effects to the engine?

TIA

Disconnect your exhaust after the test pipe and run it that way.
After a couple days of race car, put your catback back on and it will sound close to stock!

Basically my view on this. Especially if you have a garage to park it in at night LOL

If you really care, your best bet is to throw the stock muffler back on and run an electronic cutout..... Then you can put in a switch labeled "stealth mode" and it will all be worth it.
