why not just ask the shop that will be doing the work?

there are plenty of build threads that list the parts they used for the builds.

short answer, everything....... like you will be buying the car twice by the time you are done at those power numbers.... A good friend has a fully built 2.2 AMS car with a Kozmic built SST making 600+ WHP and his build bill was 25K

look into the dyno forum for builds and numbers they got out of them...

If you're rich and this isn't your primary vehicle - get with a great tuner and build your dream

If you're not rich, and are just looking for dependable fun and fast, then keep it simple - EBCS testpipe CAI - Tune

700hp is a lofty goal for a small turbo engine, and costs a **** ton to get it there

I thought that would be EBCS, testpipe, UICP, and tune for "dependable fun and fast"??

No doubt EBCS, testpipe, and (pro-)tune provide the most gain. I may be wrong, but I thought the stock intake unit is already free flowing. From your experience Napalm_Enema, how much horsepower would a CAI net gain on top of the EBCS, testpipe, and tune?

I think the drop in filter is more than enough, most like the whoosh noise so go with the CAI. Get a cosworth filter from Rallysport they aren't oiled which is great and they are cheap like 50 bucks.

Good info. I thought you could have the info that CAI makes 3-port EBCS easier to fit of something.

For a build like that, you should NOT be taking the car to a shop that can't spec the build for you when you give them a power goal like that.

I think the OP likely does not have many Evo X gearhead friends nearby in Idaho, otherwise they would say something similar to what is said here. It could be that he has some cash to build the Evo and he wants it to be more powerful than some muscle car guy's modified Mustang in town. Under these circumstances the OP might have a few misconceptions.

It might sound like any tuner shop can build a 700whp Evo. In reality only the handful few most capable shops have that capacity. There is AMS in Midwest near Chicago, about a couple days' drive from Idaho, that has the capacity to build 4B11T long blocks for that sort of horsepower. AMS also has some ways to weld the differentials or so to allow the Evo's diffs to survive under that power level. It usually costs around $40,000 parts and labor to properly achieve 700whp. It would be a build 2.2L big bore engine, upgrades turbo, plus supporting mods.

Contact Aaron at English Racing. He’s the tuner at ER.

Since OP is in Idaho, I would only recommend English Racing. If you want a fast Evo X, take it to the shop that built and owns the worlds quickest, fastest, and highest HP Evo X in the world.
