Adjustable headlights? WHY???

Can someone explain to me why we need to adjust the height of our headlights from the driver seat?? I mean why would I want my headlights pointing basically straight at the ground for any reason at all. I can’t see 10 feet in front of me with the adjuster at 3 or 4. I keep mine set at zero all the time. There could be a good reason for it but I can’t think of one. Just curious really....

Ohhh ok. So as I’m flying threw the air, I can light up the ground beneath me to see what I’m about to land on. Got it thanks!

It's common on JDM cars for some reason. Maybe to lower them down if you have a lot of trunk/back seat weight? Some crazy Japanese logic, I'm sure.

I always thought it was this. Or you can lower the beam in fog as well. Helps reduce glare.

2 reasonable explanations.. thank you. Between the fog lights and lowering the headlights, that would definitely reduce the glare..

I own a RHD JDM Evo X and it doesnt include the electronic headlight adjustment. I think its only the USDM that includes it.

Do you have the HID headlights? I don't think any of the halogen lamps adjust
