Water pump coolant feed pipe heat sheilding?
Water pump coolant feed pipe heat sheilding?
Looking at the coolant pipe that feeds the water pump, it looks like it passes right underneath the exhaust ports and exhaust manifold on the back of the engine.
Has anyone had to put extra heat shielding between the exhaust manifold and the coolant return pipe to prevent the coolant going into the water pump from being heated up (boiled?) by the exhaust manifold?
I have a track car with the Evo X engine and I am experiencing some coolant overheating.
Does anyone have a full diagram of the coolant flow on this engine?
