If that's what the X will look like, the values of our VIII's and future IX's just went up.

its funny, we all have seen ideas in movies and drawings and models of "futuristic" cars, but once we get there (the future) everyone is surprised by the design? wth? give it 20 years and the same design you were bashing you'll be praising as a classic.

and again, for the record...

IF THAT PICTURE WAS REALLY OF THE EVO X WE WOULD HAVE SEEN MORE THAN JUST ONE SHOT A MILLION TIMES!

Cool

If that is how the 10 is going to look I am in!! That black rendering rocks! With our luck the X will only be available in the UK and Japan. I hope Mitsu can stay in business long enough for US distribution.

the black one is an artist (non-mitsu related) rendition. though it is admittedly freaking hot.

The black rendered car may look "tite" or "hot" or "kick-****", but it doesn't look very aerodynamic/practical to me.

FIRST: if Mitsu were to continue using this as a platform for rallying, that design is definitely a no-go in my opinion. The front bumper design suggests it won't have much clearance for the rough terrain, and the "aero downforce" is probably useful only to scoop up leaves.

SECOND: if Mitsu were NOT to use the evo as their rally platform, it still looks like it has too much frontal resistance. Of course only wind-tunnel testing may probably prove that. But compare that front end to all other other "sports" car available today; a little too much, isn't it?

Actually, I think you have it Watson...though the car may look good, it will loose what its become as a rally car and turn into just another sport sedan. Instead of trying to make it look sick, make it look good and make it aerodynamic

The Evo X will NOT look like anything posted.

If I may be permitted one more analogy - you guys are arguing about who is going to win the superbowl in 2010.

Stoopid.
Um did you not see the concept of the new eclipse like years agos? The new Eclispe turned out to basically be the concept styling. More and more the concept cars are turning into production cars. Another example was the PT cruiser, I wouldnt be surprised if the Evo X looked like that. Either way, I like the look of the X. Remember all the Evos were never really "pretty" looking.
