In-Dash Radar detector

I'm looking to install a in-dash radar detector in my evo x, just looking to see if any has done it and could give me the best way go about it.

I have the escort 9500ix, mounted under mirror with a Blendmount. I also used a hard wire kit that has the remote mute button, i modified the blank button slot next to the left of the steering wheel. You have an MR so i dont know which buttons you have there. i have the headlight adjustment and the ASC buttons. will post pics if you'd like the, but can't till i get home, since im at work.....

Got the 9500ix with the visor clip and hard wire kit/add-a-fuse. Clipped it to the farthest left point of the visor and ran the wire through the A pillar. Pretty stealth. You'd have to bend down to see it from the outside of the car. Also used one of my blanks for the mute button but was hesitant to chop it up so it's temporarily rigged so it looks alright for now.

The BEST way is to get a modular detector like Bel STi-R or Escort 9500ci. Radar antenna goes on the front of car, display module goes anywhere u want inside.

agreed.

here's my set-up:

two front jammer behind the grill, i cut out the mesh so the beam is not blocked.

put the rear on the front b/c of low likelihood of being shot from behind.

We mounted our Blinders in the two fender slots, just below yours w/ double stick tape. Our V1 is mounted left of the rear view w/ hard wire kit. Both work well.
