Help: Downpipe Install

OK, so I am in the middle of doing my downpipe install. So far, I have removed 4 bolts from the downpipe to turbo, a bolt on top of the downpipe connecting a mounting bracket(near the wastegate actuator arm), and the bracket bolt below the downpipe. I did not remove the lower downpipe heatshield, because those 2 ****ing bolts wouldn't budge. My question is, where is this last nut that I am supposed to remove? I think that there is one way under the bracket on top of the downpipe/turbo, but I have no clue how to even start to get at that. Am I going to have to remove the heatshield beneath the downpipe?

And yeah, I searched though like 4 different downpipe installs.

get some pb blaster and soak the 2 spring bolts on the stock DP.... let sit for a while, longer the better. it can be done with it attached to o2 housing but much easier without. if you have gotten all the bolts out that face the passenger side, then there is the other one..... there is one if your looking at it from passenger side, it faces the drivers side and is located on the lower left section of o2 housing. some use ratchet wrenches, some use extention and swivel combos (it is what i used). i tried to get heat sheild off the o2 housing..... didnt work so great.

There are six bolts with the stock o2 housing (if that's what your referring too) if i remember correctly. There were 2 that were very difficult to get at. I had to take off the wg acuater to get to one of them if that helps but I used like 3 different swivel extentions and sockets to get at those bolts. A true PITA!!! My car only had like 2k miles on it so the bolts came off very easily!
Wish i had some pics for you but good luck!!

Get yourself a partner, and remove the front passenger side wheel, you will be able to see all those bolts from the wheel well looking up. Have someone on top do the wrenching, and the guy on the bottom holding the wrench in place. Also we ended up using an impact gun, and extensions for one of the bolts facing towards passenger side, and a closed end ratchet wrench for the nut. Most if not all wrenching was done from the top. Having somebody spotting, and help placing the socket/wrench in placed made it so much easier. Good luck

Forgot to add that we ended up removing all heat shields so I'm not sure how much you can see with the bottom o2 shield still on. PB blaster and lots of it. Just skeet it all over.

Yeah thanks. It's looking like I am going to have to do that. It's just such a pain in the *** getting a good placement on those two heatshield bolts.

I second the use of pb blaster. I had a hell of a time getting the the last heat shield off that youre talking about. I just couldnt get enough torque on the wrench to break the bolts in that tight of a space. I sprayed the last two bolts with pb blaster, went and got something to eat and came back to them a couple hours later. they almost fell out... I also used pb on all o2 housing studs, those nuts came right off as well without issue.

I just did my install this weekend...like others have said pb blaster is your friend. Go get a ratcheting 14mm wrench and get that nut that faces the driver side from under the car it's not bad.
