evo x tints

is it normal procedure to remove the door panels to do tints? they guy i'm going to see on wed says that's the way he does it. he also warned me ahead of time that my tint will eventually scratch because of mitsu's recycled plastic. he's putting mole skin on the liner, but he's not 100% that it will correct the problem. he says he speaks from experience doing lancers

there are other treads that talk about tinting. To put moleskin on, I believe you have to remove door panels.

yea, for the dudes who didn't have to remove the panels...it's fine so far right? i'm just afraid after removing and replacing the panels, more squeaks and buzzing might develop. i've had my MR for like a month and it's already starting buzzing around the center console and the doors

i know this is an evo and knew about all the paint problems/cabin buzzing/horrible mpg before buying, but somewhere deep down, you just keep hoping it won't happen to you lol

Your guy really know what he is doing. I wish there was tint guy I knew familiar with Lancers. Our cars require the panels to be taken off so we can put the moleskin on to protect the tint from scratching. I ordered the Moleskin separately and I'm going to do it myself after the tints get done. Normally you dont take off the panels to do tints, but youre guy is being very thorough and putting moleskin on it for you.
