I actually have been doing carbon fiber interiors for years, and have an 08 GSR and a 2013 MR here. I also literally have piles of cores sitting around: radiator shrouds, consoles, dashes, door parts, pillar up the wazoo (duh), all sorts of stuff. I have at least two mostly complete OEM airboxes as well.

But I also fab plastics, so I can get to work on one of these. I had actually started documenting a stealth garage door opener/mini switch console mount build to post a DIY $5 mod thread, but I can shift focus to this.

ikt, I've been impressed with the quality of your work, in the past, so I'd definitely be excited to see what you can come up with on this one. The cleaner/more OEM-looking the install, the better, of course.

OP has failed to appear or comment in months, so it's probably time for someone else to take the reins.

Someone needs to make carbon door insert replacements. I don't want the hassle of removing mine to send out.

Please make the duct CF as an option! Even if it is just a garnish.

So as you guys can see, something more pressing was on my mind. Now that my brake kit is complete, this is BACK ON. I haven't forgot about this at all. I am just typically more online at ClubRA. Hope to have prototype installed by the end of month. And to the thread jackers, by all means try to jump on my idea. But I do hope to have thie test fit done very soon. Sorry I kicked this to the curb for a bit, but my BBK design was worth it

Facebook.com/evoxpods
I make those, they're in the banner. Special order tho, and I'd recommend replacing the whole strip. Just rip the old one out you don't need the screw.

So your new brakes were worth leading on a dozen people for a year and bailing? Must be sweet brakes!

it's not your idea, or my idea. It's a copy of the FQ400 scoop, all you did was make some pictures on the Internet then disappear.

If you're serious about making these, do it then.

Buy a vendor account, help customers, make a good product, and you'll never see me make these.

Didn't bail, and 8 months ago (not a year) when I had this idea as a concept, it was far from being made fast. I obviously didn't tell ANYONE a timeline or guarantee when ANYTHING would be done. I am also not SELLING anything as that isn't what the thread was even for, but just to gauge interest. I wouldn't expect you to know that since the thread was started before you even joined a few months ago. And yes, the brakes are very sweet

It's not a copy of the FQ400 scoop because the FQ400 has the feature molded in to the bumper, and I am clearly not talking about selling an entire bumper. The idea that I DID have (and I don't really give a crap if anyone else has ever thought of this or not before or after me because I'm not 12 years old) is to create a functional equivalent to the FQ400 bumper opening that can be added to a standard Evo X or RA bumper. THAT is the idea that I DID have. But thanks for trying to clarify your opinion of what you thought my idea was, or lack thereof.

Well thanks for your approval and permission in doing what I want to do. I appreciate it. And as far as me "seeing you make these", maybe you missed the part where I said please feel free to design your own. I wasn't being a smart ***. That was sincere. Want to make a plastic one with glued together parts, knock yourself out. I genuinely couldn't care less. I didn't come up with the idea to make money or become rich obviously. My user name isn't drew@makemoneyoffthecommunity.com. That is what my day job is for. I thought alot of people would like this, and since I have the knowledge and tools to design it, I did. And I will have the prototype done soon. But don't come in to the thread I created and try to tell me what I thought of or didn't think of, undermining that it is a nice design and a good idea that alot of people seem interested in, or how I led a dozen people on or whatever. You posted in my thread trying to bite off my idea BECAUSE everyone seems to think it is a good idea. Create your own thread if you want to design your own and sell them for profit. I really don't care. Maybe you can post your frustrations of me not replying to this thread in the the two months since you have been a member in your own thread, and stop cluttering mine. Not trying to be a smart *** to you or anything. Just seems odd you cared enough to try to tell me what I thought of, didn't think of, or that I "bailed". I am just clarifying things with the people that are interested. Maybe you are also interested in these too, since you actually made your way in to this thread. Or maybe you were just looking for a business opportunity....

They are Brembo 6 pots. Custom made a kit to bolt up to the RA without even having to use brackets. I am looking in to an upgrade for the X using the same caliper as we speak. But that will be another thread once I get an X spindle.
