I'll agree to that. I can re-phrase. The NT555, with its 300 treadwear rating, would be a great choice as a daily driving tire...

This time I'm going to get them rotated, unlike the last set... lol

They definitley don't compare to the advans, but for the street, I'd rather have this tire, than the advans. Part of that reason is because the roads here suuuuuck.

I went to the track this weekend with these tires...dropped tires to 20psi & with my 6k 2 step I was able to run a 1.66 60 ft...This is with about 500-600 miles on the tires since I had them put on...not too bad...

Wow, that's awesome! I have yet to get enough mileage on them to really push them in any corners or anything else. And right now my car is in pieces, and won't be back together for a couple of days.

How do the NT-555 compare to the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110?

They grip well, but like everyone said they don't do so well in cold weather, but I don't drive my car in the winter so it doesn't really matter to me.
Wait, you live in IL and you don't take it out in the winter? I actually wait for winter every year.

C'mon, be a sport, you're missing out on a whole different character of the Evo.

Ventus V12 is more of a summer tire, and comparable to the NT-05, the NT-555 has better wet traction, while giving up some dray traction and giving slightly better tread wear than the V12.
