no-drop springs
no-drop springs
Imagine that there were a set of springs for the Evo X that had the rates of GTWorx Tarmac springs (i.e., 5.5 / 5.5), but with little or no drop. These would be about as stiff as you'd ever want to go on OE shocks, would aid handling considerably (including by reducing body roll), but would not bottom out on lousy roads and could even be used for rallycrossing. They'd probably cost about the same as regular (1"-drop) GTWorx Tarmacs, but no promises on this.
Interested? As in: seriously interested? As in: "I'd buy a set within a few months of them coming on the market" interested? If so, please say so, but only if you're serious. Your responses could make this happen.
ps. I'd buy a set in the first five minutes; I want a better handling car that can be driven anywhere at any time, but I don't need adjustability and I don't want any drop

I think you're alone on this one, that front fender gap is killer. I think the reason GTWorx can sell no drop springs for the GR STi is cause the fender gap Is actually pretty decent stock, they can even get away with aftermarket wheels and not looking stupid without lowering...
The main reason I got GTWorx spring on my car was to lower it, otherwise I would just have waited till I could dump 2-3k on coilovers...

As to no-drop springs, I hear you, BFF, but I was still thinking that maybe there's enough autocross/rallycross/drive-on-cruddy roads folks to make this happen. (But it also wouldn't the first time that I was alone on something, either.)

look for heavy load springs on places like partsbin or summitracing. they make them for some cars, i know camaros use them for drag racing so they can have stiff suspension and fit nice wide wheels
