The problem is trying to match the 2-stage hyper colors. Very hard to do. If all 4 wheels needed repair or 2 on the same side it would be fine.

If it were my car, I would try the touch up route first. Especially since its really just a large chip that can be filled easily a single application.

Even low end dealerships will know wheel repair guys, our local mobile wheel repair guy comes to the chevy dealership I work at all the time.

so you have no idea how you got the damage and you just automatically assume bbs wheels suck?

i can think of several different ways you could've ****ed your wheels and none of them involve the wheel's structural integrity. you could've had volks on and i'm willing to bet the damage would be just as bad or even worse. i remember reading about the oem wheel standard. its apparently a lot higher than aftermarket stuff. somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes, that's exactly it. I honestly believe that the forged BBS wheels that came with my Evo X MR, and have an MSRP of about $1,000 each are of poor quality. I was 100% serious, which is why I didn't post any cute emoticons laughing and winking.

If you think the BBS wheels are over-priced crap, I can't imagine your opinion of the Brembos.

I scraped 2 of my wheels in a turn, got them repainted. They don't exactly match the other side 100%. Brought it to the top wheel repair place here too.

You could probably get that fixed for a pretty reasonable price if you call around. They have shops that repair curbed/scratched/chipped wheels, often times they will even drive out to where the car is and make the repair right there.

+1 on the outer wheel weights, maybe wait until your tires are toasted and have different wheel weights put on before you have them refinished and have a few fresh scars from the wheel weights to annoy you.
