If the car is daily driven I would honestly just go with the Rota's. I know many will disagree, but will you really feel $3000 better about yourself knowing you have Volks opposed to Rota's on a car that sees nothing but public roads and occaisional auto-x?

I have had my grids on my car for over a year now, and while they have no curb rash or any real damage they still are showing a tad bit of wear from just daily usage. Imagine if you curb an $1000 Volk when your in a hurry trying to get out of a parking lot. Talk about a day ruiner.

Not to mention the increase possibility of your wheels being stolen. Crook sees high-dollar Volks and they may go out of their way to steal them, vs just seeing Rotas. Ya know? Just stuff to think about if your car is your daily driver.

I dunno man, I've never heard emma watson sing so that's a tough one. Great analogy though...

Are you comparing looks, talent, or mass? Either way, your analogy sucks.

For DD, save your money and get the Rota's. You won't feel as bad when the paint begins to chip, or you curb one, or when they get covered in brake dust in two days. From a daily driving stand point, you will feel ZERO difference between the two.

If you don't track/autox your car then go with the Rotas. They will be fine for a DD wheel. If you do track or autox your car then I would suggest going with a higher quality wheel like the Volk.

I like what someone had mentioned earlier, why not just run some hubcentric spacers with your MR wheels? You get a forged BBS wheel, and you could just push it out a bit more with some spacers.

That's another thing. You will cry if you curb a set of TE37's. If you curb a set of Rota, just get some touchup paint and paint them haha.

This, IMO. If you can afford the TE's then this wouldn't be a discussion. But if you can't afford them and don't need them, it's a simple question.

get grids... I've only owned rotas for all my cars and they're as good as the overpriced name brands out there. If you damage one, most times buying a replacement is cheaper than repairing! The ultimate bonus is that no thief will target your rotas.

i suggest to either get spacers, 15-20mm and rock the stockies till you get some money to buy some TE's... the only downside i can see if you were to get the Rota's is that, you would need to buy new tires with those new wheels... plus you would have to take off your TPMS to put it in those new Rotas, so that means more money to spend to have em taken off your stockies.

I'm going to be the blacksheep and tell you to go with something cheaper. They are only wheels! They don't even make your car perform any better. 9999/10000 cars on the road wont be able to tell a difference between rotas and volks. Is it worth the extra $2000 for you? $2000 is a set of coil overs or a turbo kit.

I had Volk RE30's on my STi, loved them.

However, I totally plan on rocking Rota's on the X. My only reasoning, my wife sometimes drives my car. If she scuffs or hits a Rota, I'm not going to transform into an *******

That is an awesome point about the wife. Using my BBS it is not an option because I don't agree with running spacers. All that weight for a piece of aluminum to bare. Well then for now it is going to be Rota on 255/40/18 +22 offset with a Eibach spring set up to go along for the look! Thanks guys. I will post pics soon

And in case you didn't catch it the first time, their the Rota Grids. PF45R's are ugly imo.

clearly a rota fan boy , your driving an evo , not a civic , do the right thing

if budget is your issue , look at 57DR Gram Lights , awesome wheels for decent price
