stock strut mount arrow position

Going to put my re-valved struts back on with gtworx springs. I noticed that the in arrow is not perfectly perpendicular to the inside like it is with the stock spring. I would estimate its 10-20 degrees off. I assume there is nothing I can do and probably nothing to worry about? The hat is perfectly seated on the spring where the end of coil is set on the shape made for it. I'm probably over thinking it as usual, but just wanted some thoughts. Can provide pics if needed.

Pics... I am thinking the arrow is just for matching the spring perch, which I have correct.

What matters is that, in the front, the arrow points directly towards the threaded mounting post for the speed-sensor, while one of the flat sides on the shock's upper post is also towards the arrow. That way, the arrow will be directly inwards (on the car) when the coilover is installed.

In the rear, you want a flat side on the shock's upper post to be 90* to the plate's posts (although I doubt it matters so much in the rear).

ok, I seem to be constrained on the fronts by the way the spring is fitting into to the grooves though(note the 2nd and 3rd pics show how the spring is seated. It cant be rotated. The stock spring has a different coil length). Would you say to hell with the grooves and get the arrow to the stock location?

No. I would make sure that the spring is absolutely snug in the perch and hat. Why do I say this? Because after some banging around, that's where it will be, so you might as well get the car aligned only once by installing the coilover in the way that it will end up. Make sense?

Yep. hate to drag this on, but just for clarity. If I make the hat fit correctly, the arrow will not be perfectly center. Correct spring fitment and arrow centered are mutually exclusive on these springs.

Yep. I understood that you had to choose. And my suggestion is to make the spring fit the perch (lower seat) and hat (upper seat) snuggly, because it will work itself to being snug over time, anyway. That way, the car won't settle over time, forcing you to get another alignment.

That makes perfect sense to me. Thanks
