Hey guys. I installed an HKS RS intake and a Greddy BOV (did the single spring mod). I noticed compressor surge even with the single spring mod (flutter when letting go of gas). So I put back the stock BOV and it still has the flutter....I'm stumped. Any ideas, comments, or suggestions are much appreciated....

Maybe it was always surging except I couldn't hear it with the stock air box???

 

do you have it on backwards?top of the bov should be facing the front of the car

 

Same here, I think you have the BOV on backwards.

 

hmm..then maybe i put the greddy in backwards too? The adaptor for Greddy should be facing the hose that goes into the intercooler pipe or the intake pipe? Thanks!

 

i just fixed it...i did put it on the wrong way....another question though...I hear a high pitch almost a turbo whine, kinda like a small alarm or scream when I'm in boost...the higher the boost, higher the pitch...is this normal with Greddy BOV's? I don't think it's leaking...seems to hold boost fine till the red line without any fluctuations...
