my head is spinning....

Ive been searching and searching for the last two hours about blow off valves and I cant find what Im looking for. Can Somebody please answer my questions.

What BOV will consistently hold 24-28 psi of boost (for future mods and race gas) with driveability being an issue (meaning minimal fluttering and compressor surge.) I plan on recirculating like the stock unit.

Ive read good things about APS (not sure if I like the dual vent), Forge RS (new), and the Greddy type-s w/ single spring mod; any suggestions and reasons for why your suggesting would be great.

My mods are: 3" tb exhaust, fuelpump, mbc (wont hold past 19psi), br intake, dynoflash

Sorry for long post,
Chris

I got an APS valve and i am very happy. Holds 21psi fine. Never tried any further.
Never stalls and very very minimal fluttering and surging.

Crushed 1G.
Leave it uncrushed until you are ready to start running that kind of boost and then crush it. If you really want drivability then you want the 1G

THe 1g can't hold that much boost crushed...

As for kingpin, he's not asking about 21psi, man, he needs to know about 24-28psi applications.

I would suggest at least a Greddy TYpe S with single spring mod. If not good enough, do the HKS SSQV w/recirc kit...it will hold whatever boost you give it.

The type-S should be your best bet.

Mr valve Will Not Leak up to 24-25 , after that it has a small leak . HKS will be your best bet bar none . I had the Hks vat and rec and did not like it , it stalled , bucked .... But other it works very good for.

HKS or Tial.

I have never had good luck with the stock valve or 1g valve holding pressure. Some hold better than other but they all leaked even a little bit. My tial doesn't leak at all tested to 45 psi with the 7lb spring.

I hold over 30psi with my 1G BOV with the Gus mod. It is not crushed. And it still releases without any flutter or surge.

Go with the APS, with it the evo drives like stock and from what I was told, it will hold up 30 psi.
