2004 BMW M3 or 2005 Lancer Evo MR?

For me, this is a very tough call. The bimmer is more expensive, yet more comfortable, similar performance, a bit more room, and has navigation, and comfort up the ***.

im slightly shifting my thoughts towards the M3? anyone else have any thoughts on this subject??

Depends on your motivation:

Do you want to impress chicks, pose and get schooled at the track? Buy the M3.

If you want some serious tech, incredible performance and be the envy of every sport compact owner, buy the MR.

I've driven M3s, beaten M3s and been pissed at M3 drivers. Not impressed. It's your decision in the end, but the Evo is pretty much peerless. Go drive one of each and you'll know which choice to make.

Edit: Forgot to add, the M3 has WICKED replacement costs for parts/labor when it's out of warranty. That was part of the dissuading factor.

LOL... the 2 cars are in 2 totally differnt classes man. The bottomline is the quality of the M3 will never be touched by the EVO and the EVO's performance is slightly better then the M3. There is a M3 at the local track that embarrases almost everthing out there. It puts 480+ to the wheels and still looks awesome.

As far as parts, at least BMW's warranty is honored long enogh. Mitsu's is voided when you sneeze in the car.

I love my EVO but the M3 is a finer car. MY OPINION

If money is not an issue than M3 all the way. I love my Evo, but M3 is just in a different league.

If you can afford it comfortably go with the M3, just my opinion. I actually looked at them before buying the Evo, and couldnt justify spending that much on a car. LOL, actually I'd get a Cobra or a Z06 before buying an M3 (purely based on performance of course)

Definetly EVO, heck yu can alomst buy (2) for (1) M3. I had an M3 for a day and honestly, definetly not worth the money. Overated, Not much mod potential, RWD, 2door and not as practical, is starting to show its age and is kinda dieing out, you see them everywhere. M3 was also my choice but honestly after I drove it for a day I said it was a great car but definetly would not pay the price it is. Just NOT worth it, once again, another social status car where you just pay for the name. Take the S4 into consideration, you can get it for about low-mid $40k for a BRAND NEW and now im seeing some barely used for like $39-42k. Definetly choose EVO, just my .2 cents

lol the m3 is more roomy?...i drove an e46 m3 and there is literally no backseat..and the front seat is just as hard if not harder to get into than the evo which has amazing recaro buckets..not sure what u meant there..and as for comfort..if ur going to be driving 900 miles at a time..ya maybe the bucket seats aren't for u..but they offer amazing support and are extremely comfortable for drives under 60 miles and hold u in place 10 times better than the m3 leather..i love the look of both cars..the blue and charcoal m3 looks amazing..and every color in the evo looks amazing..rear wheel drive vs awd also...where do u live? i know rwd in new england wouldn't stand a chance in the winter..good luck..i want one of both lol or replace the m3 with the new c6 vette..one amazing car which is a 2 door coupe with leather and more hp and torque than the m3..and vettes are pretty prestigious like the m3 and u might even get more respect if thats what u crave..good luck man..either way nice choice
