they do..my mitsu dealer let me take out my evo over night and the sti they had overnight too..i ended up getting the evo..and they proved that taking it out overnight works in getting a customer..i mean it wouldn't hurt to ask a dealer for that luxury..if u **** up the car it's on u..if not then u got the most out of the test drive and will most likely buy the car..u think if u drive an m3 that the dealer will think you're gonna go buy a mitsu..they'll let u overnight it if u tell them mitsu is the other choice..they'll be like "hahaha once u drive this car overnight u'll never go mitsu.." they'll be wrong..but at least u'll get a good test drive ..when i test drove an a4..they were like haha the evo won't compare to this car..they were so full of themselves that they were so sure i was gonna buy the a4 so we went for like a 45 minute test drive with him feeding me all this BS about the pos audi..it doens'thurt to ask..go look at some deallerships let them know ur really interested and see what they say..

Your original question makes it sound like this: if a guy comes up to you and offers you the keys to his M3 or his Evo, which would you take? The M3 is a 55,000 car while the MR is a 35000 car. Only an idiot would pick the MR. Also, you never mentioned what is most important to you. Is it performance? Is it comfort? Is it status? Is it all of these things equally? For overall performance, comfort, bling, quality, babe magnetism...its M3 by a mile. Now if you are a true car enthusiast who has a budget, than no other car in the world, IMO, comes close to an EVO.

Dude if you need an M3 to pick up chicks then you sad. M3s are nice as I love BMWs but for now, I'll play with my Evo and get an M3 when I don't have time to play anymore.

Hands down - MR!

My reasons:

The Fun Factor is something I never get tired of! Don't get me wrong, the M3 is full of fun - just not as much

As far as luxury, it's something that doesn't last that long with me - I also get a little more **** with the German Luxury Sports Cars (less accepting of a rattle ). Don't care too much when I hear a rattle in my car - good luck over the catless, cams, twin plate clutch

Just my take on it!

I think this situation totaly depends on what kinda person you are..Got a good example.

Im currently active duty military, and my commander just bought a M3. If you look at him he is a 35+, stuck up, West Point grad, hot wife, rolex kinda guy. It fits him. Hell he laughs at my Evo VI but wont "race" me

Me Im am 23yr old, loud, dangerous, college drop out, hot wife(IMO), with a big head son. I love to mod and work on cars. So the Evo fits me. I have been an Evo fan since the Evo IV days so Mitsu gets my vote, warrenty and all every time. Not to say the M3 isnt a nice whip cause everytime I see one I drool but that car has way to much class for me.

I love working on and modding cars, i've owned more cars then i can count, right now i dont have much time to work on anything, i'm driving 1 hr to and from work (i live in detroit where the roads are ****y) the evo will be better in the winter, the M3 will be more comfortable all around, i get lost alot so the navigation in the M3 would be kick ***, i have the tendancy to change my mind quite often (hence why ive owned so many cars), i could always buy the used evo for $22,000 drive it for a winter and sell it next summer if i dont like it, if i really like it, i can sell it to buy the MR, or if i dont think I would like the MR, i could sell it and buy the M3, that sounds like a pretty sensible gameplan

U can get a used M5 for around $40k. Much better than an M3 and more powerfull. It's already a classic. I have driven a few and they are awesome. Fenomenal acceleration of the line and rock steady handling.
