Like others have said, if money is not an object, definitely the M3.

blistein shocks added to your evo 8 should give the same soft ride as the mr right?

Everything I've read says they ride much better and actually handle a little better.

I honestly don't think this thread needs to get any longer! The guy already bought the MR! Congrats man. Well anyone saying that the M3 is better ride or quality is a stupid ***. My mother has had one and when I would visit her(in the military) I would abuse the **** out of it!!!!) The car doesn't feel stronger than my evo. I have a intake, and that is it. I have raced many of Bmw's a lot of officers on my boat bought them thinking it was so badass and started talking **** b/c I talked about my car alot soon as we got in port it was a whole other story, well my tranny is slipping or i wasn't racing, well to all you fans of the m3 you don't rev till your exhaust rattles at a stop light when you don't plan to get on it. End of story you got a great car. Enjoy it! I will be the one of the cars you will tell your kids about..

at some things, yes (as it should be for a car costing about $20,000 more). If you've driven both, you would have to admit that the EVO/ EVO MR/ EVO RS is better at some things as well. The tag line "THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE" doesn't belong to German car in this camparo.

The EVO is more race inspired and the M3 is more like a heavier still sporty looking sedan but focused more in luxury than racing.

My brother has a 03 SMG convertible M-3 and he also just sold a 98M-3 dinan supercharger M-3, again, I think that the two cars are intended for 2 different owners group. The EVO is a much more affordable car for the fun, the M-3 not all of us can afford it.

Ultimately the 01' up newer M-3 was only not even 1/10th quicker than the previous European 94-01 M-3 E-46 bodystyle rated at 321hp, actually the 97 year was the upgrade in Europe from 286 to 321hp and 5 speed to 6 speed.

Anyway, if you have the green, yeah the M-3 is nicer but not quicker on the track than a MR. The EVO has more potential for upgrades too.

my .50c
