Vishnu Stage 1 '03 Evo is the best all around car and best around corners I've owned. But the current other car, Superformance Shelby Cobra Replica weighs 2400 pounds and dynos at 417hp at the rear wheels and is way faster and certainly more elegant, if not waterproof...

My '96 Eclipse GST pulled a lot harder on the freeway because of the mods I put on it, so it was faster & quicker from a roll. At the drags it was slower but trapped a lot higher than my basically stock Evo (~106-107mph). I know that will soon change though.

As far as handling and traction off the line, nothing I've owned comes close.

What were your reasons for selling your 11 second Civic? Do you plan to run 11s in the EVO. I know it will be tough to replace your Civic, but I believe in the end if you modify it right, your EVO can and will be faster and have the added bonus of awesome handling and supercar brakes.

 

When it was stock, no, not the fastest in a straight line... but the best handling.

Now, yes it's the fastest in all respects.

 

Before the EVO I had a 91 Z28 with a catback, KanN Airfilters, Hypertech computer chip and it was pretty quick. However the EVO smokes it. Funny thing is I went from 4 Cars to 2 when getting the EVO. Traded in a 99 Grand Prix GT and sold a 92 S10 Blazer and the Z28. Made more since to go to an all weather car where as before I had the dry weather Z28, inbetween Grand Prix, and snow Blazer.

I owned a 1993 Mustang Cobra twelve years ago and it was fast, but the wipers would be six inches up the windshield at speeds above 120. And the wind sounded like a tornado. I've done 145 in the Evo and it's solid. Maybe the Mustang would top 140, but not with me behind the wheel.

yes. Faster than my ole prelude... and 1000% faster than my volvo 960.

But volvo was 2000% more comfortable than any other car I've ever had.

 

I sold my Sti for my EVO. Evo can be made much faster

 

My RSX-S was nothing compared to what my Evo was and is going to be when it comes out of the shop this sunday. It is going to be nasty. I will probaly own something faster one, but I am not sure what it could be.

 

Yes it's by far the fastest car I have ever owned. Previous cars..... Vette ZR1, and Z06....... All I did to the Evo is TBE, Boost Controller + Gauge, Turbo Timer, Custom Flash and lots of under the car Aerodynamic changes. The car does 12.1 - 12.3 1/4 all day long. With my Z06 I can do the 1/4 ok, but when it comes to cornering..... well thats another story... hahaha But yes the Evo is by far the fastest car I have so far.
