i dont know about most of you but when it comes to me i love performance and also some looks when it comes to a car...also when it comes to a turbo car i love the spool sound of a turbo and a blow off valve...when i get my evo i plan on getting a hks ss bov(i had it on my first 2g eclipse) anywho i was just wondering whats the best thing you can do to the evo to make it sound the loudest and also what can you do to make the spool of the turbo the loudest? intake,etc? cause i know with suburus it has more to do with the exhaust rather than the intake regarding hearing the spool of the turbo. thanks guys

Seriously - the most stupid mod of all time was a guy who installed a Nitous bottle and switch in his Evo only so he could purge the nos into some lighted purge nozzel to "impress people at red lights"

I have a idea! Cover your car with glue and then sprinkle rice all over it. You should get the effect you are looking for.

I'm not particularly a fan of those particular mods, but jesus christ who do you all think you are? If I'm paying for my car I'll do what ever I want to it, whether YOU all think it's cool or not.

The stuff that this guy is talking about is NOT that bad. I saw some 2g eclipse all done up at one of those 5k and under car lots the other day...looked inside...triple gauge pillar, one of them was a boost gauge. I went to ask the guy about it...pop the carbon fiber hood....turns out it's an ESI talon with a body kit....no turbo....but a boost gauge, THAT's rice.

I apologize for the rest of these hoodlums. To answer your question seriously, I recommend the following items to achieve your goal:

1) Get an HKS Type 1 Racing BOV that vents to atmosphere
2) Get a custom 3" TurboBack Exhaust made at a local shop and make sure it's as straight as possible all the way to the back with no muffler. True 3" aluminum with minimum bends, no bungs, minimum pieces (few pipes), and weld a 5" chromed exhaust tip to the end.
3) Get the Injen Intake that includes an open air filter and polished upper intercooler piping.

After all this, you'll have spent ~$1500 to not only LOOK like your standard ricey Honda, but you'll be about as fast as one, too. Good luck.

 

leave the guy alone....theres nothing about liking a loud HKS SSQ (it has a sweet sound) and the sound of a turbo spool is incredibly sweet. I have a AEm intake with a MR DV and i acutally use my intake noise as a way of saving gas, when i hear it start to spool, i let off the gas a little or switch gears. Its stupid how showing off your 40k car is considered rice nowadays... tsk tsk
