Evo kid you should be driving a riced out civic. Obviously you have no respect for anything but your precious evo. You are not an auto enthusiast and your whole arguement is completely ignorant. Grow up. Seriously.

uhhhh, yeah... it says in your sidebar that you live in Chico, so how often have you driven in the snow. If I remember correctly, it snows in Chico about as often as it does in LA . Get real, and quite calling people names like a little kid because you cant think of anything intelligent to say.

I go to tahoe all the time (its only bout 1h50m away) and also I actully have a room up there (snowboard alot). I live in the moutains above Chico,CA (which is in nor-cal) and my elevation (at my house, not Chico) is bout 3800 and we do see snow every now and then. I do appricate alot of cars and the SRT-4 is very good bargin and I have recommended it to people (one of my friends very recently was think bout SRT-4 or RSX, i said go SRT-4, Forced induction kicks ***) but saying its better then an Evo is crazy, its not even in the ballpark. The only cars I don't really like are older american cars that need 7.5 liters to make 500whp and dont handle.

ps I was also pretty drunk at 8pm tonight, not so much anymore

pss all my hondas never had a piece of rice on them (no wing, no big, mismatched rims, no stickers, no neon, no coffee can exhaust, no unpainted body kit, no body kit, etc.)

Kid you were damn close to being renamed Evo_Squid by me but the being "pretty drunk" at 8pm on a Wednesday night redeemed you in my eyes and I don't even know why.

Walk in peace young jedi. We're all having fun here talking cars and talking smack.

Evo's are great but there are other cars out there as well.

Let's bash the cars and not each other. ok?

It's MUCH more than just a turbo and a badge. If you want me to educate you i will gladly do so upon request.
Denied! Why would you want to offer to educate me on a car I don't even care about? I'm sure you talk smack on your own SRT-4 forums about other cars. Everyone has their preference and opinions that they are entitled to. I'm not spreading BS, why don't you stop making assumptions.

Obviously you know nothing about SRT-4's, so your opinion is conceived from ignorant and imaginative facts.

That's fine you don't care about the car. You thinking you know about the car when you obviously do not, so stop spreading your BS about the only thing they did was slap a turbo on and a badge. Oh wait, you didn't know that it was BS because... oh yeah IGNORANCE.

Honestly, only get an EVO if you can afford the hefty upkeep. From articles i've read, and what people say on this forum, i would bet the SRT-4 has a significantly lower upkeep.

Obviously the EVO is the better performer and IMO looks better.

I think that if you want a car that looks good, and has a lot of potential...get the evo. If you want something to screw around in for cheap that you are not going to mod heavily...get the SRT-4. Just my .02

How can people even compare the 2? The EVO is an AWD BEAST. Im not going to lie I never drove the SRT-4 but this guy at work has one. IMO i thinks its DOODOO. I would rather compare the SRT-4 to the Honda Civic Si's or VW GTI's. Not an EVO. On the straight away an SRT4 is faster? I never witnessed this so cant say if its true. All i know is that the ROADS we DRIVE on arent STRAIGHT. If ur looking for a track car maybe the SRT4 would be a good choice. Otherwise its a fReakin NEON...

srt's third gear pull is a lot of fun, ive noticed the evo doesnt pull as hard to redline. i think the neon was just a heck load of fun for car guys that are beginning to get serious about the hobby but need an affordable platform. Im tellin u, i went from a 944 turbo to a neon srt-4 and man, even though it was a MAJOR step down, i loved every second of that neon haha nothing sophisticated about it other then being spoiled to heck cause of its computer haha, u could get away with murder on that car

If you can't afford the Evo, get the SRT-4. Both good cars, different price range that's all.

The SRT-4 is a great car for the money. But it's about $10,000 cheaper than an Evo or STi, and ultimately the lack of traction is its main downfall.

Simply put...a SRT is 2 WD...thus forth with less rotating mass (2wd), it will feel stronger on the straights. A LIGHTLY modded evo can stomp any SRT on the straights. The twisties are self explanitory. HOWEVER if yo mod a SRT...? You think the SRT has traction problems now bone stock??? Being unable to attain traction in an SRT is a good thing though!!! When the tires are smoking profusley, I can spot the fading SRT easier in my rear view mirror. FWIW!
