I didnt get any comment yet,but if i do i know my response will be ugly especially a$$ oooo's wanna talk stupid.if they think the evo8 wing is huge.i wonder what they say to those sti drivers.people this days doesnt know anything about the our cars,they are all old school freaks or just plain luxurie cars,suv and trucks with dubs.so all those f@git s can go to hell and f*ck off our cars.

i can see how the majority of the population would think of the evo as being ugly in general. face it, it's no beauty queen. liking an evo for its' looks can be an acquired taste. now, real race car enthusiasts will acknowledge and respect the evo for what it is. unfortunately the majority of the population do not fall in that category.

 

^^Agreed with above. I took my family out for a ride, they thought it was a very smooth riding sedan. I was very tempted to unwind the car but I had my grandparents in it! Didn't want to shock them too much.

I went out last weekend and received 2-3 compliments on how nice it was. Also, everyone and their brother wanted to race at the light, including a huge 4x4 on a lift.

So yea, noone has laughed yet but the car does receive plenty of stares.

I've never really had that happen, at least not from someone being rude.. Though its a running joke about it being where I put my coffee..

I am usually very quick to comeback, I did have someone ask me why the wing was so big.. I said "Its so you can still see it when you lose badly"

Most people have no idea it stock, or its even functional.. I actually think its funny when people have comments about the car, usually its someone in a car UGLIER. Personally, I don't find my car all that attractive, and I hate the wing, I didn't buy it for that reason.. I always have this skewed perspective that everyone should know what this car is.. In reality, most people don't know anything about this car.

ive never had any bad comments about my car. I have it for just over a month now and everyone around here loves it. Im the one who gets stuck driving whenever we go out(kinda sucks since gas is 3.00) i personal bought the car because of both looks and perfomance.

P.S. i had someone in a celica want to race and when i pulled they stopped, and turned into a gas station, so i turned around and said what you think, hes like so how much you got under that hood.

Most people around my area pretty much know my car and what it can do now. Even the known ricer/haters are cool about the car and say nice car or whatever when I see them.

I drive the people at work to lunch once or twice a week and they always have huge smiles and say it's like going on a roller coaster ride heheh. I love this car!

I think the best thing I've seen was on the highway. A car with some dude driving and his girlfriend in the passenger seat. When they passed me she was looking at me and kept looking as they went by. She turned around in her seat and kept looking. At that point the dude smacked her head I guess to get her to stop looking. I was laughing so hard i about lost it.

 

I get a kick out of it when the "ignorant" and rude comment about my car. It puts a big ol' grin on my face when they also put money on the "fact" that their "piece" is faster than my rice bowl. Let it be known that I went four about four months solid without having to pay for my own gas as a result of these "commentaries."

 

I'm itching for the break-in period to be over, because there are one too many Bimmers and Z's running around trying to race me. . . .
I've gotten used to people laughing, I've decided those that laugh don't know what an EVO is, and those that point and gawk, have read the magazines and reviews. . .
I personally think the Sti is ugly, which is why I went this way. . .I think the EVO is actually gorgeous, love the flares on the fenders, the nice lines, the sleek hood (no ricey hood scoop!), bulging rims, curvy bumpers. . .damn, I almost mounted my EVO in the parking lot last night. . .

 

Just because somebody offends you doesnt mean you have to take offense. If they only knew how much our toys cost they would freak out,because it would take a Hardees fry cook full monthly paycheck to make a payment with insurance and monthly mods.
