.. no we shouldn't be satisfied. I don't want to become that M2... But complaining about stuff with no action on anyone's part won't get us anywhere...

Well look at how much the company backs the car.. they hype it up for modding .. its a big wheel with new shoes... nothing to fancy.. There's tons of us in this forum section... i guess it really depends on who is willing to drop some money... because without a huge demand .. parts won't be cheap..

I know when the OZ's came out there was interest from companies.. but not many people jumped on the idea.. then the evo rolled out shortly so most of them moved on.. higher value car more cha ching to spend on modding... little left for us low enders

You guys are living in a fantasy world. The market isn't there. Companies will not develop parts for a car with no aftermarket buying power. Most of us are between the ages of 16-25, just a guess. That means that our disposable income is significantly less than the Evo guys, mostly 25-35. Add to that the fact that Lancers aren't as popular as say Civics/Integras...

A better market would even be the Ralliart over us. They have a better powertrian to start with and their income is slightly higher, giving them a better chance of getting more aftermarket support. The ES, LS, and OZ are soooo weak and slow that they are not very great tuner cars.

Here's a good case study: RRM developed (boe did actually) and manufactured magnum fuel rails, after much hype and people saying they would buy it the product, it still failed to catch on. RRM abandoned the part. If RRM, a company that lives and breathes Lancers, can't make headway on parts what makes you think bigger companies will start to develop parts for us?

As for the ripping off post made eailer: RRM does price quite high. There is nothing they sell on their site or in their store that you can't find elsewhere for less. What you are paying for though is customer support. While I don't like their prices, they are the best and most knowledable guys around when it comes to Lancers. Period. That and from what I hear they are Ex-male strippers with donkey dicks and super powers who would steal your women away from you with their super fast Lancer and make you pay them in the process for the service because that's how cool they are... oh wait... *cough* I'm not that much a fan boy. So until your fantasy world where APC makes crappy parts for our car too comes to pass I'll stick with RRM and other smaller companies...

We don't need RRM- RRm needs US! We'd still have all the RPW R&D and Mirage goodies that they've developed and modified for the US lancer.

What we need is for people who b1tch that they can't find a part to actually BUY THE FRIGGIN PART when it becomes available. I've been saying this for two years. Take a look at how much trouble RRM and Buschur had selling pistons after people spent months askign "when are we gonna get high comp pistons for mad NA power?!" They had to BEG people to buy them.

Please also keep in mind that the Civic has been around for nearly 20 years. And while it's gone through some pretty major changes it has a strong following. I'm sure that the first few generations weren't very well supported until people could buy them really cheap and then said "hey, I've got extra money because I'm not making $300/month car payments. Who's got cams and pistons? I need a turbo."
As long as sh1tsubishi stealerships continue to charge $12K for a USED 2002 Lancer that blue books out at $7K we won't see people having much disposable income to throw into their cars. We also need to see people taking these cars to drag strips, road courses and other racing venues and really tapping what's available. I'm trying to do that but my schedule doesn't allow me to get out racing every weekend

But we can do it. Keep hope alive!

whatever happened to the american dream? if you want something badly enough, you've got to make it happen... and besides, before i found this forum, i had never heard of RRM, but ask anybody in the japanese import market if theyve heard of greddy, and theyll say yes, there are plenty of other lancer owners like me that are looking for more horsepower, and the one track mindset that RRM is the lancer god is what keeps an aftermarket for these cars small, do a search for aftermarket parts for a xb that has a way weaker powertrain than our car, its a toyota echo for crying out loud, and youll find alot more companies supporting it, even though they're cars cost like 14k and theyre aimed at the teenage market, which must mean that they're disposable income is lower than ours

Oh you know about that too? haha... No way am I looking to slap an APC crappy decal on now or in the future. Just saying that people have to actually invest in parts and BUY stuff to support our community.. As stated earlier.. as much as we complain.. we need to step up and invest in our cars as well. Thats why honda's are so popular .. that and there cheap
