Good deal
i posted a couple days ago about getting a evo... did i get a pretty good deal you think for the car. 16000 with 45k miles... isn't that alot of miles? Car looks in good shape. Not sure how the people ran it before. Lady said that they took to the dealer everytime to get serviced. They originally bought the car from a dealer with 25,000 miles on it so they only had it for a year and half. They said they did all there servicing at the dealership. Gears don't seem to grind or anything and the car seems to run good so i think it was a good deal. What do you think?? if you wanna see pics look at my earlier post called "MY new ride Hell yeah". i love this car. just kinda worried cause it's gonna be my daily driver and it's like 25 miles back and forth to work.
personally, I wouldn't buy an Evo used. Just b/c it does require a lot of maintenance and it was probably driven hard quite a bit. I mean, is there any other way to drive it? lol
But, as long as you're happy that is all that matters. Price seems about right, I am assuming it is an '03. I'm new here, but I know there are some TSB's regarding the '03, I'd check them out.

I read your other post. I wonder why the last owner had his liscence taken away. You did get a good deal as long as nothing big is broken, or in bad shape (things like the engine and tranny). I wouldn't worry too much, yes these cars are ran hard but they are also built for it. Its a lot different than something like a kia rio being ran hard and the 4g63 engine is damn near bulletproof if its properly maintained. Just go over the entire car really well and make sure all the maintenence has been done and if your not sure if something has been done already, do it anyways.
sounds like buyers remorse kicking in... just remember, there are always good deals to be had, but some deals are too good to be true... hopefully you got yourself a good deal.
I'd suggest taking it to a local mechanic for a look over, or dealer if you don't mind shelling out the dough. Don't know what the story was behind the sellers, but I wouldn't buy through a second owner w/out a real thorough check or knowledge of the car. But if it's in good condition then you got a good deal my friend.

yeah it looks pretty good..... shifts perfect.. nice and smooth. that was the most i was worried about but i figured even if i had to change the clutch out it would still be a good deal. I talked to the previous owners and it had never been taking to the track or anything. The kid that had it before did get his license away for speeding so i dunno :P. They had all the oil changes and everything at the dealership and stuff so that's good. I'm gonna try to detail it one day this week. doesn't seem like whoever had it before weren't much racers cause there's no mods done to it. So many things i wanna do and don't know where to start

Man im in a same boat as u on getting a used 03 with only 17k on it, but i still have couple of month to make my final decision on, since i would get a brand new one in a heart beat but i cant really afford a brand new right now, so i guess im pretty much stuck with a used ones for now
