Loss of power due to mods?

I'm not saying you guys are wrong, but with just the intake and the BOV I don't see anything drastic that would desparately need a tune. I'd look at the bov and it's setup first perhaps?

I've seen you around a lot, so I'm surprised you haven't noticed.

Do i need to Re-Flash the ECU?
and does anyone know the stock boost setting on the new Profec B because it is in total % of Boost the Stock Turbo charger can handle?

My issue was that I was under the impression that I had much more power due to the fact that I keep reading on the forums all this" magic" HP from full stages from different vendors/tuners.
Specifically speaking of TurboXS, their UTEC is their stage One. Their TMIC is their Stage III, their full exhaust with Up-pipe is their so called stageII, I had all of that plus twice more mods, in fact I had even more mods than www.Dyno-comp .com stage V which cost more than $6000 and assured you a 0-60 in about 4 sec flat and 1/4 mile in around 12sec flat... yeah, what ever
I was wrong, you might end up getting a slower car, I gained a 69whp after a tunning on a Dyno Dynamic Dyno, that was just from the tunning itself.
My car was running super rich before the tunning, flames from the exhaust, black smoke, huge turbo lags, etc, etc.
So yes indeed my friend, all the mods can make your car run like **** when you are not tuned for it.. Believe me on that one bro!!

You really haven't read any of the thousands of threads where we say not to run an aftermarket intake untuned, especially one that replaces the MAF pipe? The MAF readings get thrown off by the turbulent airflow, and the AFRs get thrown out of whack.

About the bov setup, I was referring to stuff like proper installation, springs, diaphragms etc.
Thanks for the info Warrtalon...

Yup. They're called Airinx and are available as a stock replacement or hemispherical type.

Sort of yellow foam filter, dry I think. It's probable sold under the name Greddy, or Airinx so something, but it's fundamentally a Trust product.

I did a search and no one on EvoM uses it. The filter is absolutely heinous, and there was only one reference where an Evo owner asked about it. The rest of the references were regular Lancers and a bunch of Gruppe-S advertisements selling a Greddy FMIC. I don't think it's as "trust"worthy as you think.
