Is anyone running the Greddy Profec B Spec 2 in there evo. It says it will work for the evo but is for externally wastegated turbos, Im kinda confused? Any help?

 

I use it in my car. Kind of a pain to get it set correctly, but once it's set up it works great.

it works on bot external and internal.. im thinking about it too.. due to the alky injection

 

I have one and it works great. I don't really find it that hard to set.

 

I'm running one with no issues. I have it setup for low boost setting at 15-16psi and on high it cranks it up to 24-25 psi with alcohol inj. I have my alcohol set to come on at 17psi. Also have the greddy remote switching system for the profec installed on my steering wheel. Its fun to gain ~ 100hp with the push of a button. I have it setup this way to conserve alcohol usage. I get about 4-5 tanks of gas per alcohol fill up because I only use it when I really want to.

 

Quick question... I am boosting just under 1.5bar of boost. Does everyone hit their tuned boost in first? Before I made adjustments I was only hitting .3 bar in first but 1.5bar in everything else... I asked a friend and he said I shouldn't be hitting full boost in first. Is this the case for everyone?

 

i am using the spec 2 in my evo also. once you get it set up you will be happy. i haven't had any problems.

I'm looking into getting the Profec II ... so i was just wondering what makes it it a pain to setup?? like wiring? or what?

 

Pretty slick way ot use the Profec B.
