You should be asking what the RS DOESN'T have that the regular EVO GSR or the MR does have.

The EVO is a better overall vehicle than the STi, not to mention the horrible thing the devil did to the 06 front bumper.

I never understand why people come to a forum to ask this sort of question, rather than just going to www.mitsubishicars.com....

The common reasons for why people pick Evos (specifically the Evo IX) over STIs (specifically the 2006 model) are:
* Better overall performance (handling, braking, acceleration) out of the box
* Better looks (especially after Subaru massacred a perfectly fine front end)
* Top-end power
* Easier, cheaper, more reliable modifying experience
* Slightly better fuel economy (based on the manufacturer's ratings)
* 10-year powertrain warranty... if you're stock

But then again, consider the downsides of picking an Evo over an STI:
* Less comfortable suspension on a day-to-day basis
* Less appealing interior (minus the Recaro seats)
* No 6th gear (if you buy a IX or IX RS)
* No cruise control, automatic climate control, side airbags or in-dash 6-CD changer
* 10-year powertrain warranty that is sometimes declared void with almost any mod

i pondered the same thing, EVO or STI, the evo is a much better choice, ive driven a highly modded STI numerous times that my friend has and my evo with just a turbo back will hang with his car

-not only do they have no radio, they have no wiring for a radio it needs to all be hardwired in from scratch, the trunk is bare with nothing in it, no spoiler
