For racing and sprint challanges you're right in general; I spend way too much time on my Caterham making adjustments. however, this car is mainly a daily driver that will be used for occassional open track days (not racing).
I think the standard BBS rims are adequate. the tires may be changed to road legal semi slicks later on if want more grip.
An important point you forgot to mention is braking. the stock brembo calipers will be ok; however, the front rotors, pads, brake lines and fluid will be changed (haven't decided yet what to instal). Bahrain's GP track has many long straights requiring continuos extreme braking. So brake fade is common with standard set-ups on most performance cars.
Once I test the car on the track, I'll begin tinkering with its handling characteristics. An adjustable suspension set-up will be nice. A little negative camber up front will get rid of its obvious current understeering characteristic.
The items ordered so far are simple bolt-on's that will make a small difference in power. Already installed exhaust (the car looks & sounds nicer and is 17 kg's lighter!) and boost controller. I'm going to dyno test it today to safely adjust the boost controller and to see HP results. Unfortunately I didn't dyno test it stock.
Can't wait until sparco seats arrive. Standard seats suck (absolutely no lateral support).

Are you saying that the Buschur/Warrtalon kit is good for an autox dude? What if he wants to run stock class? Or are you talking out your ***? Thought so.

also, I never said go get his packages but those also work nicely for other people.
ask him a few questions and you'll get accurate, friendly, and helpful advice from him
driving style? tell him what you want to achieve in your evo and he will try to help you. nothing more to it.

No one can tell you how you drive your car. Therefore, no one can tell what you need to do to augment YOUR driving style.
I never said anything negative about Buschur. It is NOT a good policy to mod first and sort things out later. Don't take my word for it, I'm just a 2-time SCCA champ.
David and everyone at Buschur are excellent people, great service, great parts, ect. But none of them know if you tend to turn in early, or late apex, ect.

As medsheikh mentioned earlier, he was going to use his IX for occasional track days but mainly a daily driver and he wanted help "spicing up" his evo
he wanted advice and opinions on if he was on the right track to a "996 GT3 beater" and improving his performance. mainly all i was saying that buschar wasn't some dude with unproven results but it suddenly turned into this.
if medsheikh wants, talk to buschar and see if his advice could help. i never said to mod first and ask later but rather the exact opposite.
im done with this. that was my final 2 cents.

Yeah, I can't type out any of those things because they are profane.
I participate in Time Attacks, Solo 1 and 2, and Road Racing.

. Waiting at least 30 sec.'s everytime u switch off the car is becoming a major pain. I'm installing the turbo timer today.
