can i just swap a better amp in the ssl?

 

My 03 came with a much better head unit, but the rest of the speakers were stock. My 06 has the same stock sound system. The 03 head unit had more power and a cleaner current. It cleaned up the sound a lot compared to my 06. The bass response was much improved too, despite the fact that there was no sub.

If you just want to clean up the sound, I'd look for something with at least 25 RMS watts.
