Bump start Evo?
My car's battery is almost dead and I'm wondering if it is ok to push/bump start an Evo, or is there some extra caution that has to be exercised because of the all-wheel drive nature of the beast? Thanx

Bump start away! Make sure you have a friend preferably helping you on a very clear street. Put the car in gear with the clutch in, get it rolling and pop the clutch back out and you should be fine. Figure out if your battery/alternator is going dead while you are at it and getting it started

Thetox: I wish I could just cruise down to my local autoparts store/dealer but I live waaaaaay out in the boones(4 hr round-t). In fact, I am gonna make that round trip tomorrow morning to buy the new battery, but I am afraid the car might not start 'cause the car was sitting for a couple of weeks while I did an O2 hsg, HS, and DP install, a job that should take any regular Evo peep a few hours....(I know, shameful)

Sorry, but it has been 7 hours since I first saw this post and I can no longer hold back....
Does anyone else find it eloquently ironic that the topic starter's name is Sparky and he is having trouble starting his car?
Just thought I'd throw that out there...
