Rx-8 vs evolution

Both cars were within 1 second of each other around the course … with the torqueless Honda actually being quicker.
The Evo is quicker in a straight line, but it's extra 400 lbs is felt through the corners. I also realize it doesn't take much in mods to make the Evo walk away from the S, but basically stock to stock the cars are comparable as much as a lot of you on here don't want to hear it. Don't get me wrong. I love the Evo … so much I traded for another one!

my friend had an RX-8 for a while... nice looking car... very slow... gets outrun by minivans. My friend used to give me the ... well if i'm rolling at 55 it's fast, but no one really cares about that. Mazda really messed up by not putting a turbo in that car... and making the motor to weak to handle much boost.

Ok let's do this: Stocker Vs Stocker, Who has a stock RX8? I'll run em with my stock evo, and the faster car is the chosen buy hehe j/k I seen some nice Rx-8 but common you're asking an evo lover hehe.
So many people disrespect the RX-8, however they fail to realize that despite its lack of power or reliability, it still is a very good handling car. This might be its only strong point but the chassis on the car is very well balanced, and well designed. The RX-8's seem do well in the DC area autocross whenever I see them run, which is more than I can say about Evo's in our area (including mine) but maybe that's because we all suck at driving =)
