Just got my EVO !

Just picked up my 2004 RS. I'm very very pleased with the car! It's bone stock except for a Blitz TT. I already ordered a full 3in turbo-back,hallman MBC,and CEL delete. What should I buy next? Fuel pump? Intake? SAFC? My buddy has a wideband, that's why I'm choosing a SAFC over a Flash. Does that sound right? My brakes are already taking a s*it so I ordered some Hawks.

Any Chicago-land evo meets? Thnx

No, getting an SAFC because your buddy has a wideband is not sound right - that would be extremely foolish. Get flashed, and if you are going to have your OWN wideband with which to tune yourself, then get EcuFlash like IEXCELR8 said.

Fuel pump, BOV (JDM MR DV or Forge RS), and a flash. After that would be cams and LICP.

ok so FP then BOV then Flash? or should i try and just get everything all at once? thnx for everyone's responses. What kind of flash should i get? WARRTALON: I most def trust your judgment so i'll go by what you say. I just thought getting a SAFC would be ok but guess not. What about the whole idea of getting the BOV before the I/C pipes. Shoudn't i get the pipes first? Is the Forge bov a direct replacement for the stocker? Sorry for all the newbie questions.I'm soo glad i'm a member of this forum! Thnx again to all

alex

ps ANY CHICAGO-LAND EVO OWNERS?! i want to get some meets together.

Do the BOV whenever, but make sure it's a fully recirculating one like the two I mentioned. Yes, the Forge RS is a _direct_ replacement for the stocker. It will fit right where the old one did. You don't need IC pipes, so that is not a concern. Only the lower IC pipe is useful. The upper just costs a lot of money and is for looks. If you still get one anyway, then just make sure it has an outlet that you can attach a hose to that will come from your BOV just like the stock UICP. You should get a Dynoflash, of course. He will be in Chicago in a few weeks, so you should sign up. There are already 15 cars signed up to get custom tuned. You can either get a custom tune or mail-in, but the prices are crazy low during this trip ($150 base flash; $299 custom road tune).

Congrats on the ride. I agree with Warr, if you do what he suggested you will be happy with the outcome. Wow, $299 for a custom tune that there is the one mod that you shouldn't pass up!

ok so FP,Forge bov,LICP,and a custom flash. After this I'm going to take it easy and enjoy the car. How long will the clutch last without any launches? Thats one thing that has me worried. I know stock clutches go pretty quickly. I was thinking about just buying an ACT 2600 and just keep it til the stocker goes out. How do I get more info on DYNOFLASH? I'm very interested. Thnx for all your guys' help.

Depends on how you drive, but if you never launch it, it has a better chance at longevity. There is no such thing as an ACT 2600 anymore, and I absolutely do NOT recommend the current ACT street disk.

How do you get more info on Dynoflash? I'm sure you've used Google before, and dynoflash.com isn't hard to find or figure out, right? He also has a sub-forum down in the vendor/tuner section. Just open your eyes a bit.
