floor it on my 5800 launch limiter, start letting the clutch when I feel it starting to move I pretty much dump the rest of the clutch.

I launch my car like this on a daily basis. But I have an exedy twin disc so it'll take it. Plus I have my antilag map in my aem perfected so I can get 57 lbs of boost before I dump it. I have about 245,977 launches like this and no problems yet

^ Solid advice. Evos were specifically built for this purpose and you should have no problems!

I cant seem to be able to launch my new Evo 9 mr...Either I'm launching to low or I'm sliping the clutch way to much... I did like 9 practice launches yesterday and some where better than other but for the most part they sucked.

I hope I didnt damage my clutch trying to launch that many times...I might just retire trying to launch because I dont want a messed up clutch.

on a serious note, bounce it off the rev limiter at about 5k and let out the clutch kinda fast. Dont dump it but you cant go too slow either. it'll grab higher than normal since your winding it up so much so expect to feel it a little higher in the pedal.

your evo ix has a launch limiter, so just floor it and then slip the clutch. You're going to have to slip it a little more then someone with a raised launch limiter, but it will work half way decent.

Take of the launch limiter... its better to launch around 6000 rpm I took of almost a 1/2 second doin this also I used to dump it but my car would bog every time so now I have learned to slip the clutch... there is a huge difference the way the car launches when you slip the clutch

Cut the clutchs life in half with only 9 launches? Damn that's pretty pathetic .

either way this car cost to much to be destroying it with launches or drag racing...
