EVO IX & front plate

Hey guys, i finally registered the car in NY after buying it in PA so now i have to deal with installing the front license plate bracket.

Any1 know any easy/nice/no hole method to install the front plate on a EVO IX?

you are gonna have to drill holes if you want it done. there are some kits out there if you search for it or you can make your own.

if i zip tie the plate temporarily to the wire mesh in front of the IC until i can get the tools to install the bracket correctly, is that fine or do you guys not reccomend it

you block air to your IC.......probably not the best solution.

Hate to say, but you'll need to drill few holes on your bumper.
If your state require front license plate, I would just do it. Instead of taking chance of not having plate mounted and ticketed.

just rent a POS apartment in a state with no front plate laws and register the car there :-P

haha, it was a joke...but now that you mention 'group buy' with enough people you could rent one of those hole in the walls for $200/month if not less and everyone register their cars there :-P

I don't use one.

If you get a license plate or tint ticket in CA, you have to visit the police station after fixing the problem to get it signed off. Costs only $10. Happened to me a few times with my older cars.

Weighing my options, I'd rather get busted, than drill holes into the bumper.
