Your opinion of the best intake out there?

*EXCLUDING JUST A DROP IN FILTER PLEASE* :P

I have heard that the injen intake with the UICP is the best bang for the buck, running anywhere from $330-$400+ what are the gains of it on a 100% stock car though?

please post what you think to be the best for the buck, if you know the power gains, and the prices of it... thanks! this should help me decide what i want to get.

buschur cone filter. no need for a aftermarket maf pipe and upper intercooler pipe, especially when you are stock. take the difference of price and buy yourself a mbc, and a flash.

you'll get plenty of opinions on what to get, so i'll help you the other way around. do not get a k&n intake (and i'm not refering to the drop in).

wow, cant believe that everyone is being so tame, anyhow im in the same boat as you looking for a new intake and i am thinking of the apexi with the box, for what its worth the apexi has been proven to be the best at filtration and the most effeciant for power. just thought you should know...

An intake, even tuned, won't give you that much power. It will pretty much give you just the ability to hear your bov go off every time you shift. Just stick to your stock intake box and you should be perfect until you reach 400whp.

Not sure where you'd get the idea that the Injen is the best bank for the buck when it is one of the most expensive intakes. You think $330-400 for very little WHP gains is "bang for the buck"? Bang for the buck to me is getting an mbc, boost gauge, test pipe, and mail-in flash all for about the price of an Injen intake but with 40 more whp.

yeah intake is not a good bang for the buck mod, if you do one go for the hks rs, and yeah you need to be tuned for an intake.

From what i have been reading and looking into the BR intake is the best. There is a tread on the BR intake that has lots of information showing it to be superior to most of the other intakes out. This thread had lots of pictures but I am having trouble finding it to give you a link. Everyone is right though you will need to be tuned to get power out of your new intake and most likly a breather filter as well.

In my opinion a BR stage 1 kit will get you most for the fewest dollars and will also help support future mods as well
