Really DUMB Intake Question
Really DUMB Intake Question
FYI: I spoke with my friend and he agreed that the right thing to do is send the spare intake that he received back to the vendor that accidently sent him two. You all were right, it's the right thing to do, and I do not want him or myself to get a bad reputation with any vendors on this forum.

doing it without a tune is not smart, but it will work and you will notice some gains, however, you could also notice some bad results with your car as well.... id do it for free, but why not get a tune with it.
and yes it will fit an evo ix

Do the right thing, ask him to return the other filter to the vendor
the extra power gained from the "aftermarket filter" comes very little or none from the filter but the optimization of parameters like afr/timing.
the stock setup will flow as much as the motor needs to inhale.

I am not asking to steal, on him if he wants to return it or not.
I do not want to tune the car. I want to leave it stock, but for free I figure that it was worth a try. I just do not want to hurt the car or lose power by installing it.
