OK I have a question on why I might be getting a ticking noise from this ECU it is located on the drivers side in the fuse box next to the battery. I have full vishnu exhaust, Xede/flash Ecu. Greddy boost controler and a boost guage but I dont think any of these would affect this. I only know its an Emissions Control Unit. I am pretty sure if I take the car to the dealership they will probably give me the umm your warrany is voided story so I thought I would ask if anyone has heard of this problem before. The car runs great with no glitches its just an anoying ticking. BTW this is on a 2004 Evo VIII

 

Are you sure its not your lifters ticking? That would be a much more common issue.

 

Yes its not lifters its from the Front ECU.

 

It's the boost control solenoid. It's completely normal.

I've been told you can lube up the solenoid with some spray lube like silicone and it goes away. I'll try it myself since my boost solenoid does that same thing now.
