I did, too, until all the teeth ripped off of the very weak 4th gear it has...errr, I mean had...

IX SE is the way to go now that you can get some of the MR options.

The OP should get an STi.

Base STi has a 6-speed and (I hear) a smoother ride.

The 6-speed also gets worse gas mileage. I really wanted the 6-speed for the cruising gear, but I find myself in traffic more than on an open road so my mileage suffers.

I've only heard of the failure on cars that are tracked often. Warr might have better info.

Well, I don't Beat the crap out of my car so i should be fine. Although that Gear clunk sound never went away into second. All the other gears have smothed out. Mitsu could never make a good transmission.

Why wife never drives it, she just likes it and also I think the EVO has more room in the back seat (kid), compared to my friends STI's!

Just because its an SE doesn't mean its faster . Please don't tell me you actualy beleived the Sales rep when they told you SEs have a Bigger turbo or something? They told me MRs come with a Much bigger turbo than a Regular IX and that MRs have 300HP stock. I just Laughed and told him he was wrong.
