Came with my IX ... not sure about the VIII.

EDIT: Sticker puts brake cooling guides under "Zero Lift Kit." Happened to have the sticker in a stack on my desk =)

EDIT again: Sticker quote ... "Large Rear Carbon Fiber Spoiler." Even Mitsu agrees that the thing is huge.

Yeah, Zero Lift Kit is an additional item you pay for without a choice on IX MRs.

I have owned both cars but prefer the Evo to the Sti. Both are amazing cars I just prefer the looks, handeling and power band of the EVO but I think the Sti has nicer interior and sounds better with TBE. You can't really go wrong with either car you will just have to test them both and see what you like better. Good luck.

If you get an STI do not get an 06 - get an 07. The changes they made to the gear ratios are a huge, huge plus.

Also to add....i don't think anyone has mentioned that the insurance is higher on the EVO than on the STI.

This was the case for both me and my brother with clean records.

I went from an STi to the Evo and haven't looked back. Though the cars look similar, the Evo has more interior room, looks more mature, and is a mod friendly piece of machinery. The STi gave me the feeling that I went to a Pep-boys and put a bunch of parts onto an otherwise normal looking car and called it an STi. Plus, mods destroyed that car. It cannot handle things the way the Evo can.

I've owned an '04 STI and now I own IX SE. Both are great cars. Both have pros and cons. It really depends on what you want to do with the car. Both cars can be easily modded to achieve over 300WHP, but anymore than this and it starts to get really expensive with and STI. An Evo can achieve a lot higher of a HP number with less money because of the larger turbo. I know about the expense of modding an STI. I went all out with my STI and it cost me way to much money to achieve what I could have done with an evo for less than half of what I had into my STI. My Evo is more confortable for daily driving compared to my '04 STI, but I've driven my friends '05 STI and the ride in that car is a lot more comfortable compared to how my '04 STI was. The Evo gauges are cheesy to say the least. There is no cruise control in the Evo and the seats are comfortable, but they only adjust two ways. The STi seats are decent and there are more ways to adjust the seats, plus the STI has cruise, and a few more options (auto climate controls, and outside temp gauge) that the Evo doesn't. The interior panels and carpeting in both cars is decent, but not luxury. If you look into getting and STI go for an 07. The revised gear ratios in the 6 speed are going to close the gap on 1/4 mile times between the two cars. Go drive both and take your wife with you. My wife refuses to pretty much ride in either of them. We usually take her SUV on family outings. She hated the ride of my 04 STI (to bouncy), and the she hates the seats in the Evo...Go figure. Good luck with your decision. Check out this site for some information on the STI:www.iwsti.com. Its a great forum. Most of the people on there aren't wise asses like this site.

To the OP:

PM user ryanpietro on NASIOC. I think you two would get along great with your STIs.
