New 06 Evo MR owner -oil leak

Hey all,
3 weeks ago I bought a new 06 MR. At 700 miles I changed the oil and noticed a few drops on the garage floor and the oil filter was wet. I went ahead and changed the oil anyway and put in royal purple 10w30. I couldn't find anything using search, but is there a common area where leaking occurs that I can check before bringing it to the dealer? Looks like the leak is coming from well above the filter. Should I put mobile1 back in before the dealer visit?

Thanks in advance.

I have a IX MR.

I had an oil leak @ 2000 miles just like your saying, I started noticeing little drops of oil on the garage floor, i looked, and looked could not find the source. I then made an appointment @ the dealership. Well in between time i used the car remotely and then parked it after use for a day or two. Much to my surprize when it was time to take it to the dealer i moved the car out and noticed a large pool of oil under the car. I checked the oil level and it was still safe to operate, since the dealer is right down the street from me. After 4 days in the shop they found the leak to be in the retaining bolt on one of the cam sprokets, apparently from talking to the service manager, had a problem with a few of these.

Hope this helps.

Just bring it to the dealer. You dont have to change back to Mobil one. There is no way they are going to know its not Mobil and if they did its not going to void your warranty.
