The New Girl Needs Help With Amps
Hi Everyone... I'm New To The Community And I've Been Having Trouble Picking Out An Amp For My Car.. My Cousin Works For Infinity So Im Planning On Getting Everything Through Him.. I Was Thinking Of Getting Two 10" Kappa Perfect10vq Subs And Im Still Deciding On Speakers. But When It Comes To Amps Whats The Difference Between A Mono, 2 Channel Or Multi Channel And Which One Would Work Best For Me? Thanks

Mono Amp = 1 Output channel / 2 Channel Amp = 2 Output channels / Multi Channel Amp = Multi (norm 3+) output channels
Mono and 2 channel amps are normally used for Subwoofers.
2 channel and Multi Channel are most geared towards speaker usage (note that there are exceptions to all these rules)
Advantages to Multi channel amps is wiring flexability, and Mono amps on average have higher output power (also see bridge 2 - 4 channel amps)

Well with those subs, I'd recommend the Reference Series REF611A.
You probably could go with a bigger sub amp, but you'll probably want the REF7541A for your mids & highs and the 611A and 7541A are the same size amp, so making it look good in the trunk will be a lot easier. Plus the next size up for the subs is a 1200-watt amp which is overkill.
Use the Kappa Perfect 6.1 for the front and rear mids and highs if you can afford it.

you might also want to check out concept audio amps, i have had many, and they are great amps, they are class d, which means they put out a good amount of power, and dont kill your battery or alternator... but no matter what amp you get, class d's are the way to go..

The Infinity is better than JBL in terms of sound quality for sure.
It's a good brand. Better than most, but there are better ones. Don't sweat it though, for the prices you will be paying, nothing else even comes close, and it WILL sound very good.
