Removing hard water spots on new MR
Removing hard water spots on new MR
I am having a hell of a time removing hard water spots from rear window glass on my new (one week old) 06 MR. The salesman advised me that for whatever reason, my car (and 3 other evos) sat on the lot for close to a year. Exposed to elements the whole time. Ugggh! Anyone know of a good removal technique for this prob? Tried traditional auto glass cleaners to no avail. Otherwise, lovin it!!!

Hard water spots are mineral build up. Claybar might work, but I would prefer to use some method that dissolves the minerals. You've tried washing the windows with dish soap?

You can try steel wool with glass cleaner, but if it doesnt work get some gliptone spot check and use it with a brillo pad it worked on my 95 integra but read the directions its no joke trust me im a detailer.
Try COMET, the crap you use on your sinks and counters. It seems to work really well on glass for me before. Use it it films over a little then you re wash it a couple times till it is all off. Good luck with that..
