and is that supposed to be good? most STI's average 70k on their stock clutch, with many hitting 100k.

i dont think that could be possible, alot of us evo owners are putting down more then the stock numbers and and i doubt a regular lancer clutch could withstand that type of power. it would be crazy though.

they work. i didnt ask about how long the sti clutch lasts, i would just go onto nasioc. so far on my bro's sti the clutch has about 35,000 and maybe 5 5,000rpm or less launches and it still feels pretty solid.

They are similar. The GS Eclipse clutch has a much weaker clamp load. The GT Eclipse has a slightly stronger clamp load than the GS. On both, the disk is aprox 1/2 inch less in radius, 1 inch diameter. In the end, the Evo's clutch kit is a "perfomance" upgrade for the Eclipse crowd, but not much of one.

I thought they were entirely different TYPES of clutch, i.e. pull vs push type or something to that effect.

the 2000-2005 eclipse's both 4&6 cyl. were both pull style just like the evo. but the 2006 and up is a push style with a duel mass flywheel.
