sell the car get a bus pass. im not trying to be a dick but dude. thats what FINANCIAL PLANNING is for.

sit down with your **** and sort things out. if you cannot comfortably afford it then dont get the car. if you lose your job, your wife leaves you or you have unexpected kids then i can understand the "i cant afford the car" thing. but if life has continued on normal and you cannot afford the car then you are a friggin idiot, a moron and deserve the banks to be all over you. Everyone makes stupid mistakes in life but damn dude thats a mistake that could haunt you for the next 10 years. the car itself is not a mistake at all... one of the few things ive bought that was well worth every penny. but it comes down to if you have those pennies to spend and this is something you should have used that lump of flesh above your neck to think about.

not trying to sound mean but im sick of people always going on about the money. how they buy into something they cannot afford and then ***** about the car.

I had this same feeling I pay about $1300 / month for my EVO IX MR + 06 VW GLI + Insurence for both. I was thinking of getting a STi and trading in the evo to save a few hundred. But I said oh welll I can afford it becaused I planned!

So easy to sacrifice your longterm financial situation for a car, but most do. Just ask yourself this - are you putting more into your retirement (savings, ira, 401K) than the Evo each month or not? If the answer is no, then sell it.

And no, it doesn't matter if you are 20 years old or 40 - don't fall for the BS that 'I'll save for retirement later, I'm young'. Trust me, you will thank me later.
