Hawk Plus Rear Pads

Hello I just wondering if anyone here had this pads for his Evo
http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=95&page=1

I have to buy one pair urgent, and since im in Panama, If i bought them online it will take some days, and there this one here in Panama Hawk Plus, there at $100 its a good price considering how much they buy online and in the US. but the question is...

to they make to much noise???, in lancershop theres a warning says that says so.. but im not sure if its real or not..

I just dont want a brake pad that slams my rotor, or that makes a noise that feels like its metal with metal rubbing to brake the car..

welll hope to get some answers..

The HP+ pad will squeak - badly without the shims, and a little bit with them. If you are just looking for a stock replacement pad, then I'd go with the Hawk HPS. Unless you already have better-than-stock front pads, you would run the risk of changing the brake bias of the car by installing HP+ in the rear...

They sound like HELL when used without shims. Use shims, and brake quite when installing them.

I have the HPS on mine (From EVOBrakes, awesome guy to deal with BTW) and they spueel once in a while, with light braking when cold. Just make sure you resurface your rotors.
